What if my personal details change?

If any of your personal details like address, marital or civil partnership status change you should notify the Pensions Administration Team.

How do I inform you of a change in address?

You can update your new address yourself by logging into your Member Self Service

(MSS) account. If you have never registered for MSS please contact the Pensions Administration Team for your username and password. Alternatively, if you do not want to use MSS you can complete a Change of Personal Details Form.

It is important that you keep us informed of any changes to your address to ensure that any correspondence is sent to the correct address.

Please note that the Pensions Administration Team cannot accept changes of address notified by telephone or email.

What if my marital status changes?

If your marital or civil partnership status changes, you should complete a Change of Personal Details form so that the Trustee is aware of your current Qualifying Spouse and a Lump Sum Death Benefit form.

How could my benefits be affected?

If you divorce or your civil partnership is legally dissolved, your benefits in the SOCPF will not be treated as they would be under UK law. This is a very complex area so please download the Pensions on Divorce factsheet and discuss with your legal adviser before you make any decisions or start negotiations about the division of property.

What if I have a partner but am not married or in a civil partnership?

In the event of your death, a dependant’s pension may be paid to an Adult Dependant, at the discretion of the Employing Company, if there is no Qualifying Spouse. See the Adult Dependants Factsheet for further details
