Contributions
As a member of the SOCPF, you make contributions based on your Pensionable Salary and the Employing Company pays the balance required to secure your benefits.
What if I become ill?
Your Employing Company has the discretion to grant an immediate incapacity pension if you become ill or incapacitated, subject to supporting and appropriate medical advice.
What if I die in service?
If you die in Shell service, as an Active Member, a discretionary lump sum benefit is payable.
What if I leave Shell?
If you leave Shell employment for any reason, your options will depend on your age and Pensionable Service. They will generally take into account any period of membership of the Shell Contributory Pension Fund (SCPF).
What if I want to take my pension?
The main purpose of the SOCPF is to provide a pension for members when they retire.
