You may be able to join / rejoin the SOCPF when you move overseas following working at Shell in the UK, as a Linked Fund Member.

No, you cannot pay Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) to the SCPF AVC arrangement while you are a member of the SOCPF. If you are a Linked Fund Member and were paying AVCs whilst a member of the SCPF, you must cease paying AVCs whilst a member of the SOCPF.

No, the SOCPF no longer accepts transfers of benefits from other pension schemes into the Fund.

If you work part-time or have periods of part-time and full-time employment, your benefits will be adjusted to reflect the different periods of service you have. Further information is available in the Part-Time Working factsheet.

Absence from work, including maternity, paternity and adoption leave, may have an effect on your pension. If this applies to you, please contact the Pensions Administration Team for further information.

Can I opt-out of the SOCPF?
If you are currently a member of the SOCPF, you can decide to stop paying contributions at any time (known as opting-out), but you should think carefully first as you will not be able to rejoin. It is recommended that you take independent financial advice before making a decision to opt-out.
