Artificial Intelligence (AI) in pension scams
AI is being used increasingly in day-to-day life. Unfortunately, there has also been a recent increase in AI being used to impersonate others, sometimes for criminal purposes.
If you receive a communication from anyone claiming to be connected to the Fund, make these checks to see if it’s genuine:
- are the contact details correct? Check email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses against official correspondence you’ve received from the Fund
- does a website link have the correct address when you hover your mouse over it?
- is the branding, including logos and colours schemes, the same as other communications you receive from Shell?
