Their role is to take our decisions on where and how to invest the Fund’s money to help it grow over time and put them into practice, while carefully managing risk.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOn 1 October, Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) took over as the new asset manager for the SCPF, replacing Shell Asset Management Company (SAMCo). This change follows a company restructure, which means SAMCo will no longer be providing asset management services to the Fund.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGSAM is a globally recognised firm with strong experience in managing large investment portfolios. Afte a detailed selection process, we chose GSAM as the best fit to manage the Fund’s assets. The Company fully supports this change and believes it will bring long-term benefits to the Fund.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Ch2\u003EWhat does this change mean for you?\u003C/h2\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EYour benefits in the SCPF won’t be affected by the change of asset manager. The Trustee Services Unit will continue to manage all pension administration, and the Fund’s investment strategy will also stay the same.
